CABBAGE SKILLET

1 small head of cabbage, chopped

1 med. onion, quartered and sliced into strips

1 red bell pepper, chopped

sprinkle of nutmeg

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

salt & pepper to taste

bacon drippings or olive oil

Kielbasa, optional

Heat a large skillet on high and add oil or drippings.  Add cabbage, onion and pepper, cover and heat on med-high, stirring occasionally, until almost tender.  Add nutmeg, salt, pepper and brown sugar and continue to cook until all vegetables are very tender. Very good with diagonally sliced kielbasa which has been browned in a skillet.
